Did you keep your self wondering how to get the dollar symbol on your Windows Lumia phone – [Indian Version]?

Do not worry anymore – I will tell you how to get it on your windows phone. There is nothing special to be done to access the dollar symbol out of the keyboard.

This is not an issue/problem with your phone. It is intentionally done for Indian customers.

Actually, the dollar symbol is already present in your phone’s keyboard. It’s just that it has been implemented in such a way that it doesn’t appear in the keyboard initially as [default currency symbol]. This is seen only for the Indian version of Windows Lumia phones.

Because – for Indian version, the manufacturer[Microsoft] has provided [Rupee Symbol] which is the currency symbol of India. So, it has been kept on the keyboard by default. Many of the other currency symbols are kept inside of Rupee symbol.

 How to get?

Step1: Go to the numerical pad on your phone’s keyboard.

Step2: Find and hold the [Rupee Symbol] for about a second or more.

Step3: Now, you should see the [Dollar Symbol] displayed along with other currency symbols in a horizontal list.

Step4: The horizontal list of currency symbols will be there – you can leave your finger and touch the dollar symbol from the list of symbols and you’re done!
