Thousands of individuals and organizations are using the Drupal to build an endless variety of web sites, including, Community web portals, Intranet applications, Personal web sites or blogs, E-commerce sites and many more. It is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). So, you need not worry about the legal actions – you can download it for free, use it, reuse it, modify it and you can also re-distribute the modified version to others if that’s useful.

Basic installation requirements:

  • Operating System : windows/linux/Mac Os x or other operating systems which support drupal
  • Web Server : Xampp/Wamp/Nginx/Lighttpd or Microsoft IIS
  • Database : MySQL 5.0.15 and higher/PostgreSQL 8.3 and higher or SQLite 3.x
  • PHP : 5.2.4 and higher
  • Memory Required : 32MB or more it depends on how you develop the site
